The Radnor Challenge 2018

I am really delighted to be launching our third annual Radnor Challenge Event after two amazing experiences over the last couple of summers.

To avoid any confusion this event is purely for adults and we hope to inspire a range of Parents, Colleagues and Friends to join us in our quest to do something challenging, have lots of fun and raise some money for the children of Namakoko, Uganda in the process.  This year we are leaving the bicycles behind and heading out to conquer England, Wales and Scotland's highest mountains over three days.

This year Radnor takes on the Three Peaks and we want you to be part of the team.  To ensure we are able to make the start of each climb as early as possible we'll be driving to the next set-off point each evening.

We'll be setting off from Sevenoaks on Saturday 7th July and driving to Snowdonia National Park before climbing Snowdon (3,560ft) on Sunday, 8th July.  Following the ascent of Snowdon the team will drive north to the Western Lake District, staying close to the historic town of Gosforth before heading inland on Monday 9th July to tackle Scafell Pike (3,209ft).

The legs will certainly be feeling the strain that night as the team make the long journey north to stay overnight in Fort William.

Our final climb is also the most daunting of them all, standing at 4,411ft Ben Nevis is Britain's highest peak and one of only nine UK mountains over 4,000ft. Following the ascent that night the team can sit back and celebrate their achievement with some famous Scottish hospitality and the knowledge that each successful climber has scaled over 10,000ft in three days.

The full itinerary with suggested accommodation can be found below.

As well as having a great time along the way the Challenge event is a wonderful fundraising opportunity for Radnor House Uganda in the little village of Namakoko. This year the school has continued to grow and now needs a decent medical facility to ensure children and the local villagers have access to proper medical care throughout the day. Our target this year is to raise £10,000 and you can access the funraising page via Virginmoneygiving here.
