Fraser Halliwell - Head-designate, 2020
I was first attracted to Radnor House because of its unique values-based approach to education and long-term vision. The moment I walked up the drive and through the front doors, I felt at home. I am passionate about the School’s ethos and commitment to inspiring every individual, and it is a huge privilege to be selected to lead Radnor House Sevenoaks forward from next September.
My key focus will continue to be promoting and developing academic excellence, meeting the needs of each pupil. I am constantly impressed by seeing our values so clearly reflected in the lessons and daily interactions between staff and pupils. To achieve excellence requires respect, courage and perseverance and these four values underpin everything going forward. The support given to your children to unlock their limitless minds is outstanding and reflects a genuine vocational commitment from the teachers towards their pupils.
At Radnor House, we ensure that pupils achieve their academic potential. Furthermore, we are totally committed to providing a broad range of challenging activities, including sports, music, drama, arts, clubs and societies to develop confidence and skills to equip pupils for success and enjoyment at university and beyond. Throughout my career I have been committed to a broad and personalised education, enabling pupils to develop into intellectually curious, resilient and independent young people with a strong moral compass and a great interest in the main issues facing the world in the twenty first century.
I have been fortunate to serve many successful school communities throughout my career. The best of them have been characterised by a profound respect among their members. At the heart of our Radnor community is a level of kindness and care for each other and for those people with whom we interact beyond school that is unmatched in my previous experience. It is my pleasure, therefore, to have the opportunity to lead Radnor House Sevenoaks to support each of your children to become happy, confident and, above all, the best version of themselves.
