Rugby is played as a Co-curricular activity in the Autumn Term and as part of the PE curriculum during the Spring Term.

Rugby is up and running at Radnor House Sevenoaks, and in tune with the school’s values of courage, perseverance and respect. Pupils start touch rugby from year 4, focusing on the fundamentals of passing, running and spatial awareness.

PE lessons look to develop pupils’ basic skills, coordination and knowledge of the rules of the game. Conditioned games are used for pupils to apply these skills in competitive situations.

Radnor House Sevenoaks offers expert coaching through its close link with Sevenoaks RFC. Their elite coach, Nick Wilkinson, leads the after-school club for pupils, who are also invited to stay in to attend Sevenoaks junior training. His team includes expert coaches who lead agility fitness training, which can be applied to many different sports. Through this club link, pupils can compete in regular training and competitive fixtures during the weekend.

Other lesson activities for senior pupils include badminton, volleyball, table tennis, trampolining, sports leadership qualifications, health and fitness and softball.
