Sixth Form

Radnor House Sevenoaks Sixth Form provides a caring and friendly environment in which you will be encouraged to enjoy a sense of freedom and independence balanced with an increased responsibility for yourself, the school and the community.

The Sixth Form marks the culmination of your academic career in school and it is during these two years that you will make exciting decisions about University and future careers.

The role of the Sixth Form is to equip you for life beyond school.  At Radnor House Sevenoaks, you will be presented with a wide range of opportunities to develop academically, personally, and socially.

Success in the future will largely be underpinned by academic achievement.  We believe it’s important that you dedicate significant time to developing your academic interests away from your studies.  The lecture and seminar series will open your minds to different areas and ideas and you should strive to embrace challenges and build on your existing strengths as well as developing new ones.

Our dedicated staff are committed to helping every student achieve their potential, be that preparation for University or an alternative path into the wider world.  You will be assigned a Tutor Group and, over the course of Sixth Form, your Tutor will be the first point of contact for you in all manner of things.  Your Tutor is a source of guidance regarding your studies, disseminate advice on University applications and keep an eye on how you are progressing.

Alongside a rigorous A-level curriculum, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) will allow you to research a subject in depth and gain an invaluable qualification for the future.  Other great opportunities in the Sixth Form at Radnor include Young Enterprise, Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award, public speaking, school music and drama productions, sports fixtures, Prefect duties, the Student Leadership Team, the Careers Network Evening, work experience and volunteering in the community.  You’ll find the experience challenging but rewarding.  It will also ensure you maximise your future UCAS and job applications.

I cannot recommend the experience of Sixth Form life at Radnor House Sevenoaks highly enough; its purposeful and vibrant atmosphere will combine your enjoyment of learning with an emphasis on academic success and personal development – whatever your plans for the future may be.

I look forward to welcoming you.

“This school is so special, in so many ways, and our daughter’s A Level results reflect not only her incredible effort and commitment, but also the dedication, care and encouragement of each and every one of her teachers. We could not have asked for better results and she is so delighted!” Parent Y13 student 2020
