Art and Design

The study of Art and Design plays an important role at Radnor House Sevenoaks Senior School. We pride ourselves upon caring for the individual and developing his/her talents and skills.

Pupils quickly gain confidence developing their creativity and imagination through sustained activities.  These help them to build on and improve their practical and critical skills and to extend their knowledge and experience of materials, process and practices.

The emphasis is focused on developing good drawing skills, using a broad range of media. At the end of Year 9 they can select Art and Design GCSE as one of their options.

Pupils engage confidently with art, craft and design in the contemporary world, historically and culturally worldwide.  They become more independent in using visual language to communicate their own ideas, feelings and meanings.
