Uniform for Reception and Years 1 to 2

Our pupils are ambassadors for Radnor House and are expected to dress and behave in a way that reflects the high standards we seek to achieve. The uniform lists have been adapted in order to enable our school to make suitable provision for any student who wants to make a considered choice about their uniform in relation to their gender identity.

  • Uniform should be smart
  • All items of clothing and equipment should be clearly and permanently labelled. Swimming hats should be marked on the inside with a Sharpie pen.
  • Hair that is longer than shoulder length must be tied back. Alice bands and scrunchies in the school colour (maroon or black) may be worn. Elaborate bows are not permitted. No extreme hair styles or colours please.
  • Radnor House welcomes Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps. As a school we support the Halo code, more information about which can be found on their website www.halocollective.co.uk
  • Prep students are not permitted to wear make-up or  jewellery, apart from a single pair of plain stud earrings. An analogue watch may be worn once a child has learned to tell the time, but smart watches are not permitted.
