Prep Life

Radnor House Sevenoaks is unique. We passionately believe in the limitless potential of every child and work closely with parents to deliver a Prep education which is second to none.

We recognise the importance of continued development to the highest possible standards without losing sight of the individual needs of every child in our care. We aim to inspire a love of learning within an atmosphere of happiness and warmth which motivates children to work and play to the best of their abilities.

We are extremely proud of all our pupils, their enthusiasm for life and learning, their concern for others and their many achievements, both academic and co-curricular.

"The Prep is set in a beautiful and inspirational setting which simply cannot help but inspire young minds!"

The Prep Environment

The Radnor House Sevenoaks Prep School is arranged around a magnificent courtyard all housed within the old stable block of the original manor house. As a consequence of this layout all classrooms are light and airy with a traditional feel.

Whilst the inside is impressive it’s the external spaces which we’ve become famous for. Beech Walk is our bespoke play space set in the heart of our wooded grounds. Pupils walk from Prep to the playground via the secret woodland pathway which gives a magical feel to each and every day.

Of equal significance are the extensive sports grounds including a full sized swimming pool which is used by every member of Radnor House Sevenoaks on a weekly basis. In addition to this, the 30 acres of grounds incorporate numerous sports pitches, macadam surfaces for tennis and netball plus a full indoor fitness suite.

Pastoral Care

Your child’s welfare and happiness is our first priority. A happy child is one who will thrive, who will grasp opportunities to learn and develop, and who will become a confident and well-balanced young person.

Excellent pastoral care underpins the ethos at Radnor House Sevenoaks. We acknowledge that every pupil has the right to feel safe, to learn and to be treated with respect. As the pressure on children continues to increase through 24hour social media, public image expectations and exam stress, we recognise that children require more not less assistance from school.

Our pastoral system operates on a number of different levels, with support provided first and foremost by the form teacher who represents the ‘parent at school’. The class teacher provides the link between home and school and is the main point of contact for any problems or queries that might arise. Beyond the class teacher, further pastoral support is provided by our Deputy Head.

"Care for others is embedded from the start and children in the EYFS were seen asking politely for resource and saying thank you.  They understand the need to be considerate to one another, taking turn and treating each other well." ISI Report 2022
