Our philosophy is to provide the very best in Early Years care and tuition.

"In the Nursery the educational programmes are extremely well planned and the children benefit from excellent facilities" (ISI/Ofsted Inspection 2015)

Children will learn through a balance of planned and child-initiated play based activities both indoors and outside. Above all, the aim is for the children to enjoy their learning, therefore making the transition from home to school a happy experience.

Class numbers are kept intentionally small thus enabling our wonderful nursery carers to give an exceptionally high quality of care. The children are given well planned learning experiences that help develop their knowledge, understanding and skills across all areas of the foundation stage.

The Nursery Environment

"The first thing you notice when you walk into the Nursery is the genuinely warm and caring staff who make the whole thing feel very much like an extension of the family" (Nursery Parent)

Children thrive when they are confident and happy. The Radnor House Sevenoaks Nursery aims to develop children socially, academically and physically in a supportive and caring environment. The family feel extends throughout the Nursery and staff naturally form close bonds with the children under their care.

The Nursery Curriculum

"In the Radnor House Sevenoaks Nursery, children are active learners who are enthusiastic and extremely confident about new learning experiences, which they enjoy" (ISI/Ofsted Inspection 2015)

In our Nursery your child will flourish and will be encouraged to learn through play, being given every opportunity to develop at their own pace. Daily planning ensures we meet the individual developmental needs of each child and closely follow the government’s guidelines for the Foundation Stage Curriculum. This includes:

• Personal, social and emotional development

• Communication, language and literacy

• Mathematical development

• Knowledge and understanding of the world

• Physical development

• Creative development

The Nursery Co-curricular Programme

“In the EYFS there are many opportunities for physical development across a wide range of well-resourced sports facilities" (ISI/Ofsted Inspection 2015)

We are delighted to to be able to offer additional specialist teaching as part of the weekly timetable, including PE, French, Music, Performing Arts, Forest School and Swimming (Transition only)

Nursery children also have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular activities (additional charges apply) including Ballet, Taekwondo, Mini Tennis and The Radnor House Swim School.

The Radnor House Sevenoaks Lunch

All pupils enjoy lunch in the Senior School dining hall. The menu is extremely varied with students being able to choose from a wide variety of hot and cold food, freshly prepared on site each day.
