    The Purpose of the Role

    To be responsible to the Head of the Prep School for the day-to-day management of Years 3-6.  To provide leadership to staff and pupils, playing a significant role in the review and development of all matters pertaining to the relevant year groups particularly in the areas of pupil progress, behaviour, guidance and support.

    The Purpose of the Role

    The main purpose of this role is to develop and implement marketing and communications strategies and ensure they are aligned with the school’s vision. The role will oversee marketing across the whole school to create and disseminate a clear and compelling message which further enhances our brand awareness and understanding across all stakeholder groups.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Educated to degree level or equivalent working experience
    • A marketing qualification or accreditation would be desirable
    • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing, public relations and corporate communications
    • A genuine interest in working within the education sector
    • IT skills including knowledge of databases e.g. MIS (ISAMS) and CMS / CRM tools
    • Excellent communication skills including literacy with experience of publications/print
    • Demonstrates strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise work

  • Curriculum Lead for Drama, Prep - Maternity Cover

    The Curriculum Lead for Drama, Prep leads the delivery of high-quality teaching to pupils within the Prep School (up to KS2), and senior school (up to KS3) enabling pupils to experience and participate in a range of Drama opportunities both within and beyond the curriculum.  To be a passionate teacher of Drama with a keen interest in curriculum and classroom improvement and development at a whole school level.

    Teaching and Learning at Radnor House Sevenoaks aims to create a collaborative whole-school community of life-long learners, always motivated to achieve the highest standards of teaching and learning through self-reflection, objective evaluation, and research-based practice. 

    Qualifications:

    • A Degree in Drama or equivalent subject
    • Qualified Teacher Status - a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is preferable
    • Qualified to teach Drama up to KS3 (up to KS5 would be preferable)

     

    Experience:

    • A proven track record of achieving excellent results
    • Demonstrates successful teaching of Drama to Prep and Senior school pupils
    • Experience of leading productions and performances
    • Evidence of promoting the subject through competitions and extra-curricular activities

    Skills and Knowledge:

    • Knowledge and understanding of the Drama curriculum in KS3 and above and a comprehensive vision of how this could be translated into a curriculum for pupils in KS2, KS1 and EYFS
    • Knowledge and understanding of effective approaches to teaching and learning

  • Exam Invigilator

    The Purpose of the Role

    The school wishes to appoint an additional Exams Invigilator, during our peak exam times, to join our thriving School to conduct examinations in accordance with the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ), awarding body and Radnor House Sevenoaks instructions. 

    Training and Qualifications Required

    Experience is not required, as training will be provided, although applicants will be asked to declare if they have invigilated previously and whether they have any current maladministration/malpractice sanctions applied to them.  We are looking for people who are flexible, have effective communication skills and able to be a confident and reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms.

    To drive the Radnor House Sevenoaks School vehicles in a responsible and competent manner, ensuring the safety of passengers, other road users, members of the public and you at all times.

    Location

    Vehicles based at Radnor House Sevenoaks, Combe Bank Drive, Sundridge, Sevenoaks, Kent TN14 6AE.

    Training and Qualifications Required

    •             Full D1 Commercial Licence (CPC desirable)

    •             Attend and pass required training courses as identified and agreed, this will include Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme and CPC if not already certified at the cost of Radnor House Sevenoaks (subject to achieving certification within the probation period, and to a minimum service agreement post certification)

    •             Attend and pass relevant training and medicals required by the DVLA

  • Premises Assistant

    The Purpose of the Role

    The school wishes to appoint a Premises Assistant to support the Premises Manger in the maintenance, security, and general smooth running of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team.

    This is a full-time, permanent role, working 40 hours per week (with a one-hour unpaid lunch break) Monday to Friday, all year round with occasional evening work. The successful candidate will need to work flexibly, including some weekends when required.

    The work will involve maintenance duties including carrying out of minor building works and decoration, assisting with the operation and maintenance of the swimming pool and heating system, assisting with the safety and security of the school premises, setting up facilities by moving furniture and equipment, carrying out car parking duties on special occasions and undertaking any cleaning work as required.  Basic knowledge in plumbing, electrical and building skills is essential.  Experience in a school or similar environment would be a great advantage.

  • Grounds Apprentice

    The Purpose of the Role

    Radnor House Sevenoaks has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Apprentice to join the Estates Team.  The successful candidate will support the Grounds Manger in the maintenance, conservation, and enhancement of the school grounds, working collaboratively with colleagues as part of a professional team. As part of the role, the apprentice will undergo a level 2 apprenticeship scheme at Hadlow College lasting 24 months. This is a full-time position with one day per week at college during term-time.

    We require a candidate who can:

    • manage and develop working relations for the faculty and with other colleagues

    • work positively and constructively within their team and with other colleagues

    • think creatively and imaginatively, investigate, solve problems, and identify opportunities

    • promote our core values of excellence, respect, courage, and perseverance

    Apprenticeship:

    • As part of the apprenticeship scheme, you will need to attend college for one day each week for your programme study.
    • The government require you to have a grade 4 in Maths and English.

  • Speech and Drama Specialist Teacher

    Role: Speech and Drama Specialist Teacher

    Start date: April 2024

    We are currently seeking a specialist peripatetic teacher capable of delivering high-quality individual, pair and group lessons in Speech and Drama to our senior school pupils (aged 11-18) at Radnor House. We currently deliver LAMDA but are happy to work with other exam boards. 

    The successful applicant will join a committed team of full and part time peripatetic teachers dedicated to supporting our Performing Arts pupils and will be qualified to teach across all abilities.

    The role also includes the expectation to run a Speech and Drama related Co-curricular club in the senior school during a lunchtime or as an after-school provision.

    The successful applicant would work on a self-employed basis earning £20.75 per half hour for one-to-one private lessons. We are flexible with the teaching day; the current pupil list requires one full day of teaching, but this could be spread over two half-days if more suitable for the right candidate.
